The Bahamas Marathon is an annual long-distance running event held in Nassau, island of New Providence, the Bahamas. The official name of the event is Marathon Bahamas. About 2.000 athletes take part in marathon race and other competitions (95 runners completed marathon and 379 finished half marathon in 2020).
Runners from 31 USA states and 19 countries took part in races of the Marathon Bahamas 2020.
The Marathon Bahamas is an official Boston Qualifier.

Marathon Bahamas 2020
Marathon race, 26.2mi/42.195km (Marathon Bahamas)
The marathon race of 26.2mi/42.195km starts at 6:00 17 January 2021 (Sunday) from the oceanfront at Junkanoo Beach, Nassau.
Age limit: from 18 years old on the race date.
Half Marathon race, 13.1mi/21.097km
The half marathon race of 13.1mi/21.097km starts simultaneously with the marathon at 6:00 17 January 2021 (Sunday) from the oceanfront at Junkanoo Beach, Nassau.
Age limit: from 16 years old on the race date.
The course of the Marathon Bahamas 2021 tracks through scenic downtown Nassau, Paradise Island, business districts and beaches, the northern shore of the island of New Providence. The route is mainly oceanfront, it traverses 2 large and steep bridges across the Nassau Harbour: the West Paradise Island Bridge (aka Sir Sidney Poitier Bridge) and the East Paradise Island Bridge.
The course of the Bahamas Half Marathon 2021 coincides with the part of the marathon distance. The turn around to the finish line is at the second roundabout on the Cable Beach Highway.
Start for all Sunday races of the Marathon Bahamas 2021 is at Junkanoo Beach Oceanfront, 3 blocks west of downtown Nassau.
Finish is 3 blocks west of the start, at Arawak Cay Oceanfront.

The time limit for completing the marathon or the half marathon is 6 hours. Additional limits are applied for certain points of the course.
Water and nutrition stations are located every mile of the route starting at mile two, and at the finish. The stations provide runners with drinking water, GU energy gel. Finishers get cold bottled water, a variety of food selections.
Before the start 17 January 2021 (Sunday), you may leave your personal belongings at the Gear Check area near the start line. The stuff must be packed in an event-issued deposit bag; you should attach to your bag your Gear Check stub. The stub and the bag are included in your Race Pack along with your bib number. The Gear Check closes at 13:30.
The route of the Marathon Bahamas 2021 is certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).

To get your Race Pack you should show your ID with photo.
You may authorize another person to collect your Race Pack. The collecting person needs to present a copy of your ID.
No health certificate is required to enter any race of the Marathon Bahamas 2021.
