The Santa Pola Half Marathon is an annual long-distance running event held in Santa Pola, province of Alicante, Spain. The official name of the event is Mitja Marató Internacional Vila de Santa Pola. Up to 7.000 athletes take part in half marathon race (4.303 runners completed half marathon in 2020).
The Santa Pola Half Marathon 2017 was one of the IAAF Bronze Label Road Races.
In 2020 course record of the Santa Pola Half Marathon was broken by Kenyan Alexander Mutiso who achieved 0:59:09.
In 2021 the Santa Pola Half Marathon was cancelled due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.

The half marathon race of 13.1mi/21.097km starts at 10:30 23 January 2022 (Sunday) from Avenida Pérez Ojeda in Santa Pola.
Age limit: at least 18 years old on race date.
The course of the Santa Pola Half Marathon (Mitja Marató Internacional Vila de Santa Pola) 2022 tracks through the streets of Santa Pola, near the artificial salt mountains from salt evaporation ponds, along the Mediterranean coast and beaches.

The Santa Pola Half Marathon 2022 participants are divided into starting blocks according to the results of the previous races. The starting block is color indicated on the bib number.
If you improved your timing performance after submitting the application you may request for changing of the starting block till 31 December 2021. You may start from the slower block.
Time limit for completing the half marathon is 2 hours 30 minutes. Finish closes at 13:15.
The pace makers of the Santa Pola Half Marathon (Mitja Marató Internacional Vila de Santa Pola) 2022 provide the necessary pace in order to finish within a certain time. The pace makers can be recognized by balloons marked with the corresponding finish time. Target times for half marathon are 1:30, 1:45, 2:00 hours.
Water and nutrition stations are located every 5km of the route and at the finish. The stations provide runners with drinking water, water for sponges. Toilets are at the start and finish line. Finishers get POWERADE isotonic drink and Coca-cola.
