The McAllen Marathon is an annual long-distance running event held in McAllen, state of Texas, USA. The official name of the event is McAllen Marathon Scott Crane Run. About 1.400 athletes take part in marathon race and other competitions (94 runners completed marathon and 326 finished half marathon in 2022).
The McAllen Marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier.
In 2021 the McAllen Marathon was cancelled due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. Virtual races were held instead.

10km Race (McAllen Marathon 10k)
The 10km race starts at 7:00 14 January 2023 (Saturday) from the McAllen Convention Center (700 Convention Center Blvd, McAllen).
Age limit: at least 6 years old on the race date.
Entry fee: $20—45.
A one lap course of the McAllen Marathon 2023 tracks through the streets of McAllen and covers almost the entire length of the city from south to north.
The course of the McAllen Half Marathon 2023 coincides with part of the marathon route.
The start and finish for all the races of the McAllen Marathon Scott Crane Run 2022 are at roundabout, surrounding Oval Park, in front of the McAllen Convention Center (700 Convention Center Blvd, McAllen).

The time limit for completing the marathon or half marathon is 7 hours.
Water and nutrition stations are located approximately every 1-1.5 mile of the route, and at the finish. The stations provide runners with drinking water, sports drink.
Before the start 14 January 2023 (Sunday), you may leave your personal belongings at bag check tents near the Start Line.
The route of the McAllen Marathon (McAllen Marathon Scott Crane Run) 2023 is certified by the Road Running Technical Council of USA Track & Field (USATF).
