The Louisiana Marathon is an annual long-distance running event held in Baton Rouge, state of Louisiana, USA. The official name of the event is Louisiana Marathon. About 7.000 athletes take part in marathon race and other competitions (643 runners completed marathon and 1.258 finished half marathon in 2021).

The Louisiana Marathon is an official Boston Marathon Qualifier.

The Louisiana Marathon 2022 is a qualifying event for the Abbott WMM Wanda Age group World Championships.

The course of the Louisiana Marathon 2022 tracks through the historic neighborhoods, oak tree lined streets and parks of Baton Rouge, through the Louisiana State University campus. It passes around the lakes: University Lake, Campus Lake, City Park Lake, and crosses Ward Creek and Dawson Creek.

The Louisiana Marathon and Half Marathon 2022 participants are divided into start corrals based on expected finish time entered during registration.

The time limit for completing the marathon or the half marathon is 7 hours. Finish line closes at 14:15.

The pace makers of the Louisiana Marathon and Half Marathon 2022 provide the necessary pace in order to finish within a certain time. Finish times for marathon are following: 3:00, 3:10, 3:20, 3:30, 3:40, 3:50, 4:00, 4:15, 4:30, 4:40, 5:00, 5:30 hours. These are half marathon target times: 1:40, 1: 50, 2:00, 2:10, 2:20, 2:30 hours.

Water and nutrition stations, located at the route, provide runners with drinking water, Powerade sports drink, Honey Stinger energy gel.

Before the start from 6:00 till 14:30 16 January 2022 (Sunday), you may leave your personal belongings at the gear check area at the corner of Spanish Town Road & N. 3rd Street. The bag should be clearly marked with your bib number. Not collected bags are transported to the Louisiana Marathon office, you can get your stuff the week after the race.

The route of the Louisiana Marathon 2022 is certified by the Road Running Technical Council of USA Track & Field (USATF).

You may sign up for races of the Louisiana Marathon 2022 online.

The online registration is open till the slots last.

If slots are available you may sign up for the races 14—15 January 2022 (Friday — Saturday) at the Louisiana Marathon Expo 2022 at Raising Cane’s River Center (275 South River Road, Baton Rouge, LA, 70802).

The entry fee for the Louisiana Marathon 2022 varies depending on the date of purchase:
from 16 November 2021 to 10 January 2022 — $140;
11—15 January 2022 — $150.

Entry fee does not include a SignUp Fee (around 6.6% of entry fee).

The entry fee for the Louisiana Half Marathon 2022 varies depending on the date of purchase:
from 16 November 2021 to 10 January 2022 — $130;
11—15 January 2022 — $140.

A SignUp Fee (around 6.6% of entry fee) is charged additionally.

Double registration Déjà Vu (marathon or half marathon and quarter marathon or 5km) is available. Finishers that were registered for both a Saturday and a Sunday race receive a crawfish tray.

VIP packages are for additional treats and comfort ($100 single, $150 double).

You may switch to another distance (with surcharge if applicable) for a fee of $5; you may defer your registration to a future event up to 14 days before the event for $10—30. More info is here.

14 January 2022 (Friday) from 11:00 till 19:00,
15 January 2022 (Saturday) from 10:00 till 17:00,
16 January 2022 (Sunday) in race morning from 5:00 till 6:30.

To get your Race Pack you should show your government-issued photo ID and your registration confirmation (electronic or printed).

You may authorize another person to collect your Race Pack (Proxy Packet Pick-up). The collecting person needs to present a copy of your ID and your registration confirmation (both electronic or printed).

No health certificate is required to enter any race of the Louisiana Marathon 2022.
