The Tel Aviv Marathon is an annual long-distance running event held in Tel Aviv, Israel. The official name of the event is מרתון Playtika תל-אביב (Tel Aviv Playtika Marathon). Around 40,000 athletes participate in the marathon race and other competitions. In 2023, 1,892 runners completed the marathon, and 7,276 finished the half marathon.

The first Tel Aviv Marathon was established in 1981. The competition was not held in 1983, from 1995 to 2005, and in 2013. In 2022, the in-person races were canceled due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, and virtual competitions were held instead.

In 2023, the course record of the Tel Aviv Marathon was broken by Kenyan Dominic Mibei, who achieved a time of 2:10:11.

The Tel Aviv Marathon is recognized as a World Athletics Label event.

The Tel Aviv Marathon 2024 is a qualifying event for the AbbottWMM Wanda Age Group World Championships.

The marathon race, covering a distance of 26.2mi/42.195km, starts at 6:50 on 23 February 2024 (Friday) from Rokach Blvd. between Park Hayarkon and Merkaz Hayeridimin in Tel Aviv.

Age limit: at least 18 years old on race day.

Half Marathon race, 13.1mi/21.097km

The half marathon race, spanning a distance of 13.1 mi/21.097 km, commences at 6:05 and at 6:20 on 23 February 2024 (Friday) from Rokach Blvd. between Park Hayarkon and Merkaz Hayeridimin in Tel Aviv.

Age limit: at least 16 years old on race day.

6.2mi/10km Race

The 6.2mi/10km race starts at 9:10 on 23 February 2024 (Friday) from Rokach Blvd. between Park Hayarkon and Merkaz Hayeridimin in Tel Aviv.

Age limit: at least 14 years old on race day.

Entry fee: €32—44 (ILS 130—180).

The start and finish for all races of the Tel Aviv Marathon 2024 are on Rokach Blvd. (between Park Hayarkon and Merkaz Hayeridim). The marathon finish line is located at Hayarkon Park.

Red signs (directional pointers and arrows) indicate the marathon course, while the half marathon route is marked with blue signs.

Participants in the Tel Aviv Marathon and Half Marathon 2024 are divided into starting blocks based on their expected finish times. The starting block is indicated on the bib number.

The time limit for completing the marathon is 6 hours, while for the half marathon, it’s 2 hours and 45 minutes. There are additional time limits at certain points along the course.

The pacemakers for the Tel Aviv Marathon and Half Marathon 2024 are responsible for maintaining the required pace to finish within a specific time. You can identify the pacemakers by their attire and balloons marked with the corresponding finish times. Here are the target times for the marathon: 3:00, 3:15, 3:30, 3:45, 4:00, 4:15, 4:30, 4:45, 5:00 hours. For the half marathon, the target times are as follows: 1:40, 1:45, 1:50, 1:55, 2:00, 2:05, 2:10, 2:15, 2:20, 2:30 hours.

Water and nutrition stations are located approximately every 3km along the route and at the finish line. These stations provide runners with drinking water, isotonic drinks, and energy gels. There are refreshing sprinklers along the route.

The route of the Tel Aviv Samsung Marathon 2024 is certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).

You can sign up for the races of the Tel Aviv Playtika Marathon 2024 online.

Online registration is open till 17 February 2024.

The entry fee for the Tel Aviv Marathon 2024 varies depending on the date of purchase:
until 30 November 2023 — €59 (ILS 240);
from 1 December 2023 to 25 January 2024 — €66 (ILS 270);
from 26 January to 17 February 2024 — €73 (ILS 300).

The entry fee for the Tel Aviv Half Marathon 2024 varies depending on the date of purchase:
until 30 November 2023 — €44 (ILS 180);
from 1 December 2023 to 25 January 2024 — €49 (ILS 200);
from 26 January to 17 February 2024 — €54 (ILS 220).

To get your Race Pack, you should present your photo ID.

You may authorize another person to collect your Race Pack. The collecting person needs to present a copy of your ID and your signed health declaration which includes the power of attorney.

No health certificate is required to participate in any race of the Tel Aviv Marathon 2024. During bib number pick-up, you should sign the declaration regarding your health condition..
