The Barcelona Half Marathon is an annual long-distance running event held in Barcelona, Spain. The official name of the event is eDreams Mitja Marató de Barcelona. Approximately 20,000 athletes participate in the half marathon race. In 2023, 17,624 runners completed the half marathon.

The Barcelona Half Marathon is recognized as a World Athletics Gold Label event.

In 2023, course records for the Barcelona Half Marathon were broken in both the men’s and women’s categories by Kenyan athletes: Charles Langat achieved a time of 0:58:53, while Irine Kimais finished in 1:04:37.

The starting and finishing point of the Barcelona Half Marathon (eDreams Mitja Marató de Barcelona) 2024 is located on Passeig de Pujades near Parc de la Ciutadella.

The time limit for completing the half marathon is 2 hours and 45 minutes.

The pacemakers for the Barcelona Half Marathon 2024 maintain the required pace to help participants finish within specific time goals. These pacemakers can be identified by their flags, which display the corresponding finish times. The target times for the Half Marathon are as follows: 1:20, 1:25, 1:30, 1:35, 1:40, 1:45, 1:50, 1:55, and 2:00 hours.

Water and nutrition stations are located every 5km along the route and at the finish line. These stations provide runners with drinking water, isotonic Aquarius, and gel.

Before the race begins, runners can drop off their personal belongings between 7:00 and 12:00 on 11 February 2024 (Sunday) at the Estació del Nord Municipal Sports Center (c/Nápoles, n. 42-44). Please ensure that your bag containing personal items is labeled with a sticker displaying your race number.

The route of the Barcelona Half Marathon 2024 is certified by the Federació Catalana d’Atletisme and Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).

Registration

You can sign up for the Barcelona Half Marathon (eDreams Mitja Marató de Barcelona) 2024 online.

Online registration is open until 4 February 2024, or until all slots are filled.

The entry fee for the Barcelona Half Marathon 2024 varies depending on the number of entries:
1—10,000 — €32,
from 10,001 — €36.

Time is measured using an electronic chip that is affixed to the shoe. The chip must be returned after the race.

You can collect your Race Pack, including your bib number, at the Expo of the Barcelona Half Marathon (eDreams Mitja Marató de Barcelona) 2024, which is situated at the fairground Fira de Barcelona, Pavelló 7 (Plaça Marquès de Foronda Mont, 5, 08038 Barcelona).

9 February 2024 (Friday) from 14:00 to 21:00,
10 February 2024 (Saturday) from 10:00 to 20:00.

To collect your Race Pack, you should show your photo ID and your confirmation email (either in paper or digital form).

You can authorize another person to collect your Race Pack. The designated individual needs to present your confirmation email and a copy of your photo ID.

No health certificate is required to participate in the Barcelona Half Marathon (eDreams Mitja Marató de Barcelona) 2024.
