The Mississippi River Marathon is an annual long-distance running event held in Lake Village and Greenville, states of Arkansas and Mississippi, USA. The official name of the event is Mississippi River Marathon & Half Marathon. Around 500 athletes participate in the marathon race and other competitions. In 2023, 145 runners completed the marathon, and 199 finished the half marathon.
The Mississippi River Marathon is an official Boston Marathon qualifier.

Mississippi River Marathon and Half Marathon 2013
Marathon race, 26.2mi/42.195km (Mississippi River Marathon)
The marathon race, covering a distance of 26.2mi/42.195km, starts at 8:00 on 3 February 2024 (Saturday) at the intersection of Lakehall and Sunnyside Roads in Lake Village, state of Arkansas.
Age limit: at least 16 years old on the race date.
Half Marathon race, 13.1mi/21.097km (Mississippi River Half Marathon)
The half marathon race, spanning a distance of 13.1mi/21.097km, commences at 8:00 on 3 February 2024 (Saturday) near the Former Cowpen Restaurant at 5198 Highway 82 in the state of Arkansas.
Age limit: at least 12 years old on the race date.
The Mississippi River Marathon 2024 features a point-to-point course that traverses through the states of Arkansas and Mississippi, taking you along the streets of Lake Village and Greenville and alongside the shores of Lake Chicot, which happens to be the largest oxbow lake in North America. The course culminates with a crossing of the Mississippi River via the cable-stayed Greenville Bridge.
The course of the Mississippi River Half Marathon 2024 follows the second half of the marathon route.
The starting point for the Mississippi River Marathon 2024 is located at the intersection of Lakehall and Causeway Roads in Lake Village, state of Arkansas, near Whiskey Chute Reservoir and Lake Chicot.
The starting point for the Mississippi River Half Marathon 2024 is situated at 5198 Highway 82 near the Former Cowpen Restaurant in Arkansas.
The finish line for all the races is at the intersection of N Poplar Street and Washington Avenue in Greenville, state of Mississippi.

The time limit for completing the marathon or half marathon is 7 hours. The finish closes at 15:00.
Water and nutrition stations are located approximately every 1-1.5 mile of the route, and at the finish. These stations provide runners with drinking water, sports drink, and GU energy gel. Finishers have access to a variety of drinks and snacks, such as hot pizza, hot tamales, Shipley’s donuts, Coke products, Gatorade, and beer.
Before the start on 3 February 2024 (Saturday), you may leave your personal belongings at the bag check near the Start Line. Your items must be packed in an event-issued deposit bag with your bib number clearly marked on it. This bag is included in your Race Pack, along with your bib number. The bags will be transported to the finishing area.
Free buses transport half and full marathon runners to their respective start lines from Greenville, N Poplar Street, near the finish line. These buses are available for loading from 6:00 to 6:30 on 3 February 2024 (Saturday).
The route of the Mississippi River Marathon 2024 is certified by the Road Running Technical Council of USA Track & Field (USATF).

To get your Race Pack you should show your your photo ID.
You can authorize another person to collect your Race Pack. The designated individual must present a copy of your ID. Each participant can pick up a maximum of three packets, in addition to their own.
No health certificate is required to participate in any race of the Mississippi River Marathon and Half Marathon 2024. Participants are required to sign a release-from-liability waiver.
