The Mississippi River Marathon is an annual long-distance running event held in Lake Village and Greenville, states of Arkansas and Mississippi, USA. The official name of the event is Mississippi River Marathon & Half Marathon. About 500 athletes take part in marathon race and other competitions (155 runners completed marathon and 150 finished half marathon in 2021).
The Mississippi River Marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier.

Mississippi River Marathon and Half Marathon 2013
Marathon race, 26.2mi/42.195km (Mississippi River Marathon)
The marathon race of 26.2mi/42.195km starts at 8:00 5 February 2022 (Saturday) at the intersection of Lakehall and Sunnyside Roads in Lake Village, state of Arkansas.
Age limit: at least 16 years old on the race date.
Half Marathon race, 13.1mi/21.097km (Mississippi River Half Marathon)
The half marathon race of 13.1mi/21.097km starts at 8:00 5 February 2022 (Saturday) from 5198 Highway 82 near Former Cowpen Restaurant, state of Arkansas.
Age limit: at least 12 years old on the race date.
The 3.1mi/5km race starts at 8:00 5 February 2022 (Saturday) from the intersection of Washington Avenue and Poplar Street in Greenville, state of Mississippi.
Entry fee: $25—35, free for runners of 18 years old and younger.
A point to point course of the Mississippi River Marathon 2022 tracks through the states of Arkansas and Mississippi, the streets of Lake Village and Greenville, along the shore of Lake Chicot, the largest oxbow lake in North America. The route crosses the Mississippi River over the cable-stayed Greenville Bridge.
The course of the Mississippi River Half Marathon 2022 coincides with the second half of the marathon route.
Start of the Mississippi River Marathon 2022 is at the intersection of Lakehall and Causeway Roads in Lake Village, state of Arkansas, near Whiskey Chute Reservoir and Lake Chicot.
Start of the Mississippi River Half Marathon 2022 is at 5198 Highway 82 near Former Cowpen Restaurant, state of Arkansas.
Finish for all the races is at the intersection of N Poplar Street and Washington Avenue in Greenville, state of Mississippi.

The time limit for completing the marathon or half marathon is 7 hours. The finish closes at 15:00.
Water and nutrition stations are located approximately every 1-1.5 mile of the route, and at the finish. The stations provide runners with drinking water, sports drink, GU energy gel. Finishers get a variety of drinks and snacks: hot pizza, hot tamales, Shipley’s donuts, Coke products, Powerade and Michelob Ultra.
Before the start 5 February 2022 (Saturday), you may leave your personal belongings at bag check near the Start Line. The stuff must be packed in an event-issued deposit bag with your bib number clearly marked on it. The bag is included in your Race Pack along with your bib number. The bags are transported to the finishing area.
Free buses take half and full marathon runners to their respective start lines from Greenville, N Poplar Street, near the finish line. Buses load from 6:00 to 6:30 5 February 2022 (Saturday).
The route of the Mississippi River Marathon 2022 is certified by the Road Running Technical Council of USA Track & Field (USATF).

If slots are available you may sign up for the races 4—5 February 2022 (Friday — Saturday, including the race morning) at the Expo of the Mississippi River Marathon and Half Marathon 2022 and near the Finish Line.

Free admission is for elite athletes.
If the event goes virtual due to COVID-19 participants may defer their entry to 2023; or take part in the virtual race, donate the entry fee and get entry fee discount for 2023; or take part in the virtual race and receive entry fee refund (excluding small registration fee).

5 February 2022 (Saturday) on race day from 5:15 till 6:00.
To get your Race Pack you should show your your photo ID.
You may authorize another person to collect your Race Pack. The collecting person needs to present a copy of your ID. A participant can pick up as many as three packets other than his own.
No health certificate is required to enter any race of the Mississippi River Marathon and Half Marathon 2022. Participants sign a release-from-liability waiver.
