The Cyprus Marathon is an annual long-distance running event held in Paphos, Cyprus. The official name of the event is Logicom Cyprus Marathon. About 3.500 athletes take part in marathon race and other competitions (425 runners completed marathon and 780 finished half marathon in 2019).

In November you may run marathon or half marathon in other places of Cyprus: in Limassol and in Larnaka.

In 2020 the 22nd Cyprus Marathon was cancelled due to the COVID-19 virus.

The half marathon race of 13.1mi/21.097km starts at 8:30 5 December 2021 (Sunday) from the Paphos Castle (Κάστρο της Πάφου).

Age limit: at least 16 years old on race day.

The 6.2mi/10km race starts at 8:45 5 December 2021 (Sunday) from the Paphos Castle (Κάστρο της Πάφου).

Age limit: at least 14 years old on race day.

Entry fee: from €30. Discount is available for group registration from 20 runners.

Start for the Cyprus Marathon (Logicom Cyprus Marathon) 2021 is near the rock Petra Tou Romiou (Πέτρα του Ρωμιού), the goddess Aphrodite’s Birthplace.

Finish for all races of the Cyprus Marathon (Logicom Cyprus Marathon) 2021, as well as start for the Half Marathon, 10km and 5km races is on the square near the Paphos Castle (Κάστρο της Πάφου), a medieval fort on the edge of Paphos harbour.

The time limit for completing the marathon is 6 hours, for the half marathon distance — 3 hours. Additional limits are applied for certain points of the course.

The pace makers of the Cyprus Marathon and Half marathon 2021 provide the necessary pace in order to finish within a certain time. Target times for marathon are 3:30, 4:00, 4:30 hours, for half marathon — 1:30, 1:45 and 2:00 hours.

Free buses take marathoners to the start near Petra Tou Romiou (Πέτρα του Ρωμιού) from Kato Paphos Main Bus Station (Apostolou Pavlou Avenue), 300 m away from the Paphos Castle (Κάστρο της Πάφου). Busses depart between 6:00 and 6:30 5 December 2021 (Sunday).

Water and nutrition stations are located every 3km of the route and at the finish. The stations provide runners with water AGROS, isotonic HIGH5, energy gel HIGH5 IsoGel, fruit, refreshing sponges, and also beer and juice at the finish line.

Before the start till 8:10 5 December 2021 (Sunday) you may leave your personal belongings in the baggage deposit area near the start and finish zone. The stuff must be packed in the deposit bag (it is included in your Race Pack along with your bib number and a sticker); the bag is to be marked with the sticker that has your race number on it. The marathon runners can take their bags to the start at Aphrodite’s Rock (Πέτρα του Ρωμιού) and pick them up after finish near the Paphos Castle (Κάστρο της Πάφου).

The route of the Cyprus Marathon (Logicom Cyprus Marathon) 2021 is certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).

Pick-up desks schedule:
3 and 4 December 2021 (Friday — Saturday) from 9:00 till 18:00.

In special occasion if organizers allow, you may get your Race Pack on race day 5 December 2021 (Sunday).

To get your Race Pack you should show your ID with photo (passport), printed confirmation letter (sent via email).

You may authorize another person to collect your Race Pack. The collecting person needs to present your confirmation letter, a copy of your ID.

No health certificate is required to enter any race of the Cyprus Marathon (Logicom Cyprus Marathon) 2021.

How to get to Paphos

There is an airport near Paphos, but more flights of different price categories arrive at Larnaca airport.

Distance between Larnaca and Paphos is 133 km, approximately 1:30 h by car. It takes 2:30 h to get from Larnaca to Paphos by bus. You may see bus schedule here.
