The Jerusalem Marathon is an annual long-distance running event held in Jerusalem, Israel. The official name of the event is מרתון ווינר ירושלים הבינלאומי (Jerusalem Winner Marathon). About 30.000 athletes take part in marathon race and other competitions (1.506 completed marathon and 5.054 finished half marathon in 2019).
In 2020 the Jerusalem Marathon was cancelled due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.

The marathon race of 26.2mi/42.195km starts at 7:00 29 October 2021 (Friday) from Rupin Road at the junction between the Israel Knesset building and the Israel Museum.
Age limit: at least 18 years old on race day.
Half Marathon race, 13.1mi/21.097km
The half marathon race of 13.1mi/21.097km starts at 6:45 29 October 2021 (Friday) from Rupin Road at the junction between the Israel Knesset building and the Israel Museum.
Age limit: at least 16 years old on race day.
The 6.2mi/10km race starts at 9:30, 9:45 and 10:00 29 October 2021 (Friday) from Rupin Road at the junction between the Israel Knesset building and the Israel Museum.
Age limit: at least 14 years old on race day.
10km race bib numbers are green, pink and yellow.

The course of the Jerusalem Marathon 2021 starts in the western part of Jerusalem, enters the Old City through Jaffa Gate and leaves through Zion Gate. From the promenade in southeastern Jerusalem you may enjoy the panorama of the Old City.
Highlights of the course:

- Mahane Yehuda Market (שוק מחנה יהודה),
- Mount Scopus (הַר הַצּוֹפִים) in northeast Jerusalem,
- ancient citadel Tower of David (מגדל דוד), aka Jerusalem Citadel,
- Jaffa Gate (שער יפו), stone portal in the historic walls of the Old City of Jerusalem,
- Western Wall (הכותל המערבי), the holiest site for the Jewish nation and remnant of the Second Temple,
- Zion Gate (שער ציון),
- public park Tayelet Haas Promenade (הטיילת תלפיות), overlooking Jerusalem’s Old City and the Dead Sea.
The course of the Jerusalem Marathon 2021 is hilly, runs mostly on the paved road with some cobblestones in the Old City.

Start for all races of the Jerusalem Winner Marathon 2021 is on Rupin Road at the junction between the Israel Knesset building and the Israel Museum.
Marathon finish is at via Valley of the Cross in the southern end of Sacher Park. The Half Marathon ends at Ben Zvi blvd. opposite the northern entrance to Sacher Park.

The Jerusalem Marathon and Half Marathon 2021 participants are divided into starting blocks according to their target time indicated while registering.
The starting block is marked on the bib number. You may start from the slower block.
Marathon bib numbers are blue; half marathon bib numbers are red and grey.
Time limit for completing the marathon is 6 hours, for the half marathon — 3 hours.
The pace makers of the Jerusalem Marathon and Half Marathon 2021 provide the necessary pace in order to finish within a certain time. Target times for marathon are following: 3:15, 3:30, 3:45, 4:00, 4:15, 4:30, 4:45, 5:00 hours. These are half marathon target times: 1:30, 1:35, 1:40, 1:50, 2:00, 2:10, 2:15, 2:30 hours.
Bag deposit is available near start and finish zone in Sacher Park.
Free shuttles ride between 5:30 and 13:30 29 October 2021 (Friday) from the Mount Herzl Plaza, the Sha’arei Tzedek Hospital parking lots and the Eastern Gallery Plaza of Teddy Stadium to Sacher Park (Israel Museum Plaza) and back.
The route of the Jerusalem Winner Marathon 2021 is certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).

The online registration is open till 20 October 2021 or till the slots last.
The entry fee for the Jerusalem Marathon 2021 varies depending on the date of purchase:
till 31 January 2021 — $80;
from 1 February till 19 September 2021 — $95;
from 19 September till 20 October 2021 — $100.
The entry fee for the Jerusalem Half Marathon 2021 varies depending on the date of purchase:
till 31 January 2021 — $63;
from 1 February till 19 September 2021 — $68;
from 19 September till 20 October 2021 — $74.
20% discount is available for Jerusalem residents.
If races are cancelled due to COVID-19 the entry fee will be refunded.
Till 1 October 2021, for a fee of $10 you may cancel your registration or switch to other distance (with surcharge if applicable). After 1 October 2021, you may switch the distance with special permission of the event organizer ($20 fee) and cancellation is possible under medical requirement ($10 fee).

You may authorize another person to collect your Race Pack. The collecting person needs to present a copy of your ID, your confirmation letter, and consent form signed by you.
No health certificate is required to enter any race of the Jerusalem Marathon 2021. You sign up the electronic Health Declaration form during registration.
