The Helsinki Half Marathon is an annual long-distance running event held in Helsinki, Finland. The official name of the event is Helsinki Half Marathon. About 3.000 athletes take part in half marathon race and other competitions (1.125 finished half marathon in 2020).
Helsinki City Running Day (marathon and half marathon) is held in May, and in August you may run another Helsinki Marathon together with Half Marathon.

Helsinki Half Marathon 2020
Half Marathon race, 13.1mi/21.097km (Helsinki Half Marathon)
The half marathon race of 13.1mi/21.097km starts at 8:30 12 June 2021 (Saturday) from Töölönlahti park (Töölönlahden tapahtumapuisto) next to Finlandia Hall (Finlandia-talo) near the Töölö Bay.
Age limit: born in 2006 and earlier.
A one-lap course of the Helsinki Half Marathon 2021 tracks through the streets of Helsinki, on Katajanokka island, along the shores of the bay Töölönlahti and the Gulf of Finland (Suomenlahti).

The asphalt roads of the Helsinki Half Marathon 2021 are traffic free for the time of the race.
The start and finish for the Helsinki Half Marathon 2021 is in Töölönlahti park (Töölönlahden tapahtumapuisto) next to Finlandia Hall (Finlandia-talo) near the Töölö Bay.

The Helsinki Half Marathon 2021 participants are divided into starting blocks according to the expected finish time.
The time limit for completing the half marathon is 3 hours.
The pace makers of the Helsinki Half Marathon 2021 provide the necessary pace in order to finish within a certain time. The pace makers can be recognized by their outfits and flags marked with the corresponding finish time. Target times for half marathon are 1:30, 1:35, 1:40, 1:45, 1:50, 1:55, 2:00, 2:10, 2:20, 2:30, 2:45, 3:00 hours.
6 water and nutrition stations are located on the half marathon route.
Before the start, you may leave your personal belongings from 7:00 till 12:00 12 June 2021 (Saturday) in the deposit area near the start zone. The stuff must be packed in a deposit bag; you should attach to your bag a sticker that has your race number on it. The sticker and the bag are included in your Race Pack along with your bib number.
The route of the Helsinki Half Marathon 2021 is certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).
You may sign up for races of the Helsinki Half Marathon 2021 online.
If slots are available you may sign up for the races 11—12 June 2021 (Friday and Saturday, including the race day) at the Race Office of the Helsinki Half Marathon 2021.
The entry fee for the Helsinki Half Marathon 2021 varies depending on the date of purchase:
till 15 November 2020 — €35;
from 16 November 2020 till 7 January 2021 — €40.
The entry fee increases as the race day approaches.
25% discount is available for youth under 25 years old.
Elite runners get free entry.
You may defer your registration to the next year in case of health issue: till 12 May 2021 for a fee of €5, till 11 June 2021 for a fee of €10. Till 6 June 2021, you may transfer your registration to another person (with a surcharge not less than €5). 11 June 2021 (Friday) from 12:00 till 20:00,
12 June 2021 (Saturday) on race day from 7:00.
To get your Race Pack you should show your ID with photo, confirmation letter.
You may authorize another person to collect your Race Pack. The collecting person needs to present your confirmation letter, a copy of your ID.
No health certificate is required to enter any race of the Helsinki Half Marathon 2021.
