The Dead Sea Marathon is an annual long-distance running event held in Ein Bokek, Israel. The official name of the event is מרתון ארץ ים המלח, Dead Sea Marathon by Veridis Israel. About 3.500 athletes take part in marathon race and other competitions (207 runners completed marathon and 1.483 finished half marathon in 2020).
The Dead Sea Marathon evolved from the races in nature reserve Ein Gedi (עֵין גֶּדִי), which were held for more than 30 years.

Dead Sea Marathon 2020
Marathon race, 26.2mi/42.195km (מרתון ארץ ים המלח)
The marathon race of 26.2mi/42.195km starts at 6:15 5 February 2021 (Friday) from the Dead Sea Premier Shop, Beach Resort & Spa (מרכז מבקרים חוף פרמייר) in Ein Bokek region.
Age limit: from 17 years old on 31 December 2021.
Half Marathon race, 13.1mi/21.097km (חצי מרתון ארץ ים המלח ע”ש תומר וגיורא רון, Veridis Dead Sea Half Marathon)
The half marathon race of 13.1mi/21.097km starts at 7:00 5 February 2021 (Friday) from Chamay Zohar near the Dead Sea in Ein Bokek region.
Age limit: from 15 years old on 31 December 2021.
Ultra Marathon race, 31mi/50km (אליפות ישראל ל-50 ק”מ)
The 31mi/50km race starts at 6:15 5 February 2021 (Friday) from the Dead Sea Public Beach in Ein Bokek region.
Age limit: from 18 years old on 31 December 2021.
Entry fee: €65—85 (ILS 260—340).

The 6.2mi/10km race starts at 8:30 5 February 2021 (Friday) from the Dead Sea Public Beach in Ein Bokek region.
Age limit: from 14 years old on 31 December 2021.

The course of the Dead Sea Marathon 2021 traces the Dead Sea shoreline in Ein Bokek region, follows the border of Jordan amid desert landscape.

Start for all races of the Dead Sea Marathon 2021 is on the shore of the Dead Sea in Ein Bokek region: the marathon starts from the Dead Sea Premier Shop, Beach Resort & Spa (מרכז מבקרים חוף פרמייר); the half marathon starts from Chamay Zohar.
Finish is in Ein Bokek: the marathon ends at the beach of David Dead Sea Resort & Spa; the half marathon finishes at the Dead Sea Public Beach.

Time limit for completing the marathon is 6 hours, for the half marathon distance — 3 hours.
Water and nutrition stations are located every 3-5km of the route. The stations provide runners with drinking water, isotonic drink, energy gel, fruit, snacks.
The route of the Dead Sea Marathon 2021 is certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).

The entry fee for the Dead Sea Marathon 2021 varies depending on the date of purchase:
till 15 September 2020 — €58 (ILS 230),
from 16 September till 19 December 2020 — €65 (ILS 260),
from 20 December 2020 till 31 January 2021 — €75 (ILS 300).
The entry fee for the Veridis Dead Sea Half Marathon 2021 varies depending on the date of purchase:
till 15 September 2020 — €48 (ILS 190),
from 16 September till 19 December 2020 — €60 (ILS 240),
from 20 December 2020 till 31 January 2021 — €65 (ILS 260).
In case of event cancellation due to COVID-19 restrictions, a refund of the entry fee will be made except for €2.5 (ILS 10) handling fee.
Till 1 January 2021 you may cancel your registration and get a part refund of the entry fee or you may switch to another distance for a fee of €7.5 (ILS 30). More info is here.
Your Marathon or Half Marathon Race Entry includes:

You may pick up the Race Pack with your bib number at the Expo of the Dead Sea Marathon 2021. Please, specify the venue of the Expo on the race website.

5 February 2021 (Friday), on race day from 5:00 near the start.
To get your Race Pack you should show your ID with photo.
No health certificate is required to enter any race of the Dead Sea Marathon 2021.
