The Bergen Marathon is an annual long-distance running event held in Bergen, Norway. The official name of the event is Fjordkraft Bergen City Marathon. About 11.000 athletes take part in marathon race and other competitions (599 runners completed marathon and 4.514 finished half marathon in 2019).
In 2020 the Bergen Marathon was cancelled due to the COVID-19 virus.

The marathon race of 42.195km starts at 8:00 24 April 2021 (Saturday) from the medieval quay Bryggen in Bergen.
Age limit: from 18 years old on the race date.

The half marathon race of 21.097km starts at 10:00 24 April 2021 (Saturday) from the medieval quay Bryggen in Bergen.

Relay Marathon, 21.097km for 7—10 runners (Sparebanken Vest Stafetten)
The relay starts at 9:40 24 April 2021 (Saturday) from the medieval quay Bryggen in Bergen.
The course is divided into 10 parts. The relay team may consist of 7 to 10 members each running desired parts of the marathon distance.
Age limit: from 18 years old on the race date.
Entry fee: 184—230 € (2000—2500 NOK) for the team.
5KM Road Race (Thon Run 5km)
The 5km race starts at 12:00 24 April 2021 (Saturday) from the park Nygårdsparken.
No age limit.
Entry fee: 19—28 € (200—300 NOK) for adults, 14—19 € (150—200 NOK) for children till 14 years old.
Kids Run, 2km (Vestkanten Barneløp)
Kids race starts at 13:00 24 April 2021 (Saturday) from the park Nygårdsparken.
Age limit: till 12 years old.
Entry fee: 11—14 € (120—150 NOK).
The course of the Bergen Marathon (Fjordkraft Bergen City Marathon) 2021 races through the streets of Bergen, second large city of Norway, and tracks along the shores of the fjords Byfjorden and Puddefjorden, around the harbors Store Lungegårdsvannet and Vågen. The marathon consists of two loops; half marathon runners make one loop.

The course of the Bergen Half Marathon (BMW Halvmarathon) 2021 coincides with part of the marathon distance and is made of one loop.
Start and finish for the Bergen Marathon (Ronhill Marathon) and Half Marathon (BMW Halvmarathon) 2021 is on the medieval quay Bryggen, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, famous for Hanseatic heritage commercial buildings overlooking the Vågen harbour.

Time limit for completing the marathon distance is 6 hours, for the half marathon distance — 4 hours. Additional limits are applied for certain points of the course.
The pace makers of the Bergen Marathon (Ronhill Marathon) and Half marathon (BMW Halvmarathon) 2021 provide the necessary pace in order to finish within a certain time. The pace makers can be recognized by flags marked with the corresponding finish time. Target times for marathon are 3:30, 4:00, 4:30, 5:00 hours, for half marathon — 1:30, 1:40, 1:50, 2:00, 2:10, 2:20 hours.
11 water and nutrition stations are located on the marathon route, and 5 — on the half marathon route. The stations provide runners with drinking water, isotonic, fruit, chocolate.
Before the start you may leave your personal belongings from 7:00 till 15:00 24 April 2021 (Saturday) in the deposit area at the sports complex Vikinghallen (Øvre Dreggsallmenningen 7, 5003 Bergen). The stuff must be packed in a deposit bag, you should attach to your bag a sticker that has your race number on it (the sticker and the bag are included in your Race Pack along with your bib number).
You may change and have a shower at the sports complex Vikinghallen (Øvre Dreggsallmenningen 7, 5003 Bergen) from 7:00 till 18:00 24 April 2021 (Saturday).
The route of the Bergen Marathon (Fjordkraft Bergen City Marathon) 2021 is certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).

The entry fee for the Bergen Marathon (Ronhill Marathon) 2021 varies depending on the date of purchase:
from 15 September 2020 till 15 January 2021 — 51 € (550 NOK);
from 16 January till 15 March 2021 — 65 € (700 NOK);
from 16 March till 21 April 2021 — 74 € (800 NOK);
22—23 April 2021— 79 € (850 NOK).
A 3 € (30 NOK) platform service fee is charged additionally.
The entry fee for the Bergen Half Marathon (BMW Halvmarathon) 2021 varies depending on the date of purchase:
from 15 September 2020 till 15 January 2021 — 43 € (460 NOK);
from 16 January till 15 March 2021 — 56 € (600 NOK);
from 16 March till 21 April 2021 — 65 € (700 NOK);
22—23 April 2021 — 69 € (750 NOK).
Entry fee does not include a platform service fee of 3 € (30 NOK).
A license of the Norwegian Athletics Association (Norges Friidrettsforbund) is required to participate in the races; it is extra paid while registering.
You get your name on the bib number if you signs up before 1 April 2021.
Till 17 April 2021 for extra charge you may transfer your registration to another person or switch to another distance (with surcharge if applicable). More info is here.
